Dean Pratt

Mr. Dean Pratt of Atlanta died Tuesday, September 29, 2009.  He was a member of Clairmont Presbyterian Church and retired from Lucent Technologies after 29 years of service.  He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard the USS General W. A. Mann out of Yokohama Japan.  Mr. Pratt attended Clemson University and Georgia State University. He was preceded in death by his son, Marcus Dailey Pratt.  He is survived by his wife, Betty Connell Pratt of Atlanta; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Jo Ann Pratt of Atlanta; daughter-in-law, Linda Pratt; and grandchildren, Stuart Pratt, Diana Pratt, Colin Pratt and Danny Pratt.  A memorial service will be held at 12:30 PM Thursday, October 1, 2009, at the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Ron Hieber officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at A. S. Turner & Sons.
