Willie Lee Austin, Jr.

Willie L. Austin, Jr., age 89, of Loganville passed away on December 19, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Jessie Hay Austin and his son, Mark Allen Austin. He is survived by his grandchildren, Jeff, Amanda and Katie Austin; daughter-in law, Pam Austin all of Loganville, GA; sister, Myra A. Messer of Clarkston, GA; sister-in-law, Mildred Hay; nieces and nephews, Jean & Curtis Jackson, Dennis Austin, Brenda Storey, Mike & Janet Watkins, Paul & Marlene McKay, Michael & Vickie Ledbetter, Stacey & Linda Nelson, Eddie & Lisa Hay, Terry & Elaine Marlette, Debbie Cole, Clint & Cathy Toney, Caroline Hay. Willie retired as Chief Marshal of Dekalb County in1990 with 34 years of service. He was a long time member of Ingleside Presbyterian Church in Snellville, GA and a member of the Clarkston Masonic Lodge #492 F&AM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:00 am with Reverend Kennedy Smartt and Reverend Charles Dunahoo officiating. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Tucker, GA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
