Chandani Bhakta Algeo

Chandani Bhakta Algeo, 30, of Decatur, Georgia, passed away Saturday, July 14th, 2018, in a car accident.

She was born in Leicester, England on August 17th, 1987, to Harish Bhakta and Shobhna Bhakta (Patel). Chandani graduated from the University of Florida with a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a focus on special needs children.

She met the love of her life, Matthew Ryan Algeo, during her first year at UF and married him 6 years later in an intimate ceremony in Piedmont Park on September 30th, 2011.

Chandani enjoyed raising her children, crafting, calligraphy, cooking, exercising, reading, organizing, traveling, and running. She loved her antique craftsman house and spent many years creating a comforting, warm home for all that shared it with her.

Her beautiful life will be cherished forever by her husband, young children Avni Karina & Ayan Krish, parents, “parents-in-love” Mark & Chris Algeo, sisters Paayal Bhakta (Joe Delmond) & Arti Bhakta (Kyle Hammonds), sisters-in-law Katie (Jason) Holeman, Maura (Greg) Naruta, Megan (Alex) Callihan, and numerous nieces & nephews, aunts & uncles, and cousins – all of whom will miss her beauty, radiance, and thoughtfulness.

A memorial will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 21st, 2018, at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home.
