Dorothy Mae Rast

Dorothy P. Rast passed away on Sept 18, 2017. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama and lived to be 88 years old. She was awarded a bachelor’s degree from Montevallo College in Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband James Rast, to whom she was married for over 50 years. She is survived by her daughter Ann Rast, and her son Clay Rast and his wife Kathy. Her grandchildren include Kevin Bryant and Johnathon Rast. She was an active member of Genesis Bible Church of Dunwoody since its inception in 1996. She was very active in her community, and faithfully supported her husband and family. Her faith in Jesus Christ and family were paramount in her life and sustained her throughout. Service is to be held at A. S. Turner & Sons on N. Decatur Rd, Decatur, GA 30033 on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service at 10:00 am. The service will be officiated by Pastor Dennis Mock.
