Allene Baker Allen

November 22, 1915 — July 19, 2008

Allene Baker Allen of Decatur, GA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 19, 2008. Born in the Hickory Grove community of Acworth, GA on November 22, 1915, she was the fifth child of James and Leila Attaway Baker. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank R. Allen. Allene was an active member of ColumbiaDriveBaptistChurch for over 56 years. During that time she provided leadership and support to the Fiedelis Sunday School Class, the Woman’s Missionary Union and other church groups. She retired from General Electric Company with over 30 years of service. Allene was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Martha Allen, McDonough, GA and Charles and Sandra Allen, Decatur, GA; four grandchildren, Michael and Michelle Allen, Decatur, Tammy and Joe Frazier, Snellville, Bradley and Becky Allen, Loganville, and Stanley and Melanie Allen, Lilburn; eight great grandchildren, Scott, Ryan and Zackary Frazier, Savannah, McKenzie, Tabitha, Bella and Emme Allen. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 22 at 2pm in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons, Dr. Bob Wiley officiating. Interment immediately following at FloralHillsMemoryGardens. Family will receive friends Monday the 21^st 2-4 and 6-8pm. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
