Mr. Alvin Lane Braswell, 74, passed away on December 30, 2015 at the Southern Regional Hospital in Riverdale, GA due to complications following surgery. Alvin was born in Decatur, GA on June 19, 1941, to the late Reuben and Julia Braswell. He attended Georgia Institute of Technology prior to enlisting in the Army for 20 years and retired as Master Sergeant. He was a loving and caring husband and father. An honest man who dedicated his life for the pursuit of his families happiness. Alvin is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mi Hwa; his sons, Sung Hwan and Sung Dong; and his sister Mildred Wilson.Funeral services will be held honoring Alvin on Saturday January 9, 2016 at 12:00 PM at the chapel of A S Turner and Sons Funeral Home, 2773 N. Decatur Road, Decatur, GA.
