Ann Longshore

Ann Pendergrass Longshore, 92, a resident of Clairmont Place of Decatur, Georgia died December 6, 2004. She was born in Fort Payne, Alabama to the late Porter G. Pendergrass and Margaret V. McSpadden. Ann was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Longshore, Sr., grandson Robert L. Longshore, III, and dear friend Mary Lou Fountain. She is survived by her son, Robert (Bob) Longshore, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Eleanor Longshore of Virginia; son, John (Dick) Longshore and daughter-in-law, Judy Longshore of California; grandsons, Kenneth and David Longshore; granddaughters, Marianne Werth and Lynda Penland, Martha and Katherine Longshore, six great grandchildren; and many other family and friends. As a very active member and past president of the Georgia Chapter of HFMA, Ann won many awards. She retired after 23 years as head of the business office at DeKalb Medical Center and was currently employed by Diversified Account Systems. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 10th at 2 p.m. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, Georgia (404) 292-1551. Donations may be made in Ann?s memory to Artists with Disabilities, the Mary Lou Bothwell Fountain Scholarship Fund, 4426 Gauntt Road, Oxford, GA 30054. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until eight at A. S. Turner & Sons.
