Annie Skillern Mallory

Anne Skillern Mallory, 87, died in hospice October 27, 2013. Anne was born December 10, 1925, in Clarkston, GA, the daughter of Walker and Dora Skillern. A proud lifelong resident of DeKkalb County, she graduated from Clarkston High School. Anne was a charter member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Stone Mountain. She was married to her beloved husband Lewis B. Mallory for nearly 60 years until his death in 2007. Anne's life was based on love, generosity and loyalty. Anne was the heartbeat of her family, and maintained many lifelong friendships. Anne was a gracious hostess and her many annual gatherings will be fondly remembered. She was also preceded in death by her son, Lewis Bartow Mallory, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Terri Anne Mallory, and three grandchildren, Elena Ana Maria Mallory, Daniel Lewis Mallory and Kate Arildsen Mallory. She is also survived by her brother, Ralph Skillern, and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at A.S. Turner and Sons in Decatur, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30th at A.S. Turner and Sons followed by a burial at Melwood Cemetery.
