Betty Louise Mangum

Betty Mangum of Decatur, GA passed away in her home on Thursday March 21, 2019. She was born on September 17, 1932 in Baconton, GA, and lived most of her life in Albany, GA and in Decatur. She is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, William P. Mangum Jr. of Decatur, son Don Mangum of Stone Mountain, GA, daughter Paula Mangum of Decatur/New Orleans, and son Eric Mangum of Roswell, GA. She also leaves behind trusted caretaker and family friend Ben Huber of Decatur, GA. Betty was the youngest of 8 children, and spent her life as an attentive mother and homemaker who enjoyed creative activities like flower arranging, sewing, and traditional southern cooking.
