Mrs. Betty Lou Hayes, age 84, of Tucker, died Thursday, September 24, 2009. A native of Atlanta, Mrs. Hayes was a graduate of Girls High. She was a secretary for 23 years at Ideal Industries in Atlanta. She and her mother, Peggy Simpkins, were owner/operators of Simpkins Personal Care Home for 20 years. Mrs. Hayes is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheri and Clifford Frain of Tucker; granddaughters, Natalie and Rory Flanagan of Buford; Pamela Frain of Tucker, Dawn and John Cushing of Alpharetta; grandsons, David Spencer of Smyrna, and Jason Spencer of Norcross; great grandchildren, Nicholas Cushing, Lauren Cushing and Dillan Flanagan. Graveside services will be held Sunday, September 27th at 2:00 P.M. at College Park Cemetery with Dr. Frank H. Crumpler officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1925 Century Blvd., Suite 10, Atlanta, GA 30345. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Sunday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
