Mr. Cappa C. Kent, 79, of Atlanta died Wednesday, February 18, 2009. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Army. Cappa was a graduate of Young Harris College and Mercer University. He retired from the U. S. Department of Labor in 1990 after 40 years of service with the Federal Government. Cappa was a founding member of the Alzheimer’s Support Group and a very active member and deacon of Shallowford Presbyterian Church. He was an active participant in Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, and an avid supporter of the High Museum of Art, the Atlanta Symphony and the Fernbank Science Center. Surviving are his loving wife of 46 years, Patricia Kent of Atlanta; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Jan Kent of Overland Park, KS; two grandsons, John Kent and Tim Kent. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 23rd at 1:00 P.M. at Shallowford Presbyterian Church Sanctuary with Robby Carroll officiating. Interment Decatur Cemetery.
