Carolyn Pounds Armistead

Carolyn Armistead, age 95, of Decatur, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014. She was a 91 year member of Decatur First United Methodist Church and the Paty Sunday School class. She was preceded in death by husband, Ben Armistead, Jr. and is survived by sons, Doug (Anna) Armistead and Ben (Tina) Armistead; grandsons, Jeffrey (Kim), Kerry (Laura), Doug (Jen), Will (Kimmie) and Ben Armistead; 9 great-grandchildren; and brother, Claud (Eloise) Pounds. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 28 in the chapel of A. S Turner and Sons. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Methodist Children's Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 5 – 7 pm at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
