Catherine Bell Lipsett

Catherine Bell Lipsett, age 89, of Decatur, died Sunday, September 2, 2007. Born in Prince William County, Va., she was the oldest of six children. She moved to Atlanta at an early age and was a graduate of Girls High. She was a homemaker and member of Clairmont Presbyterian Church and a long-time member of Columbia Presbyterian Church, Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Lipsett. She is survived by a two sisters, Hazel Carlson of Conyers and Dorothy Adair of Tallahassee; a daughter, Phyllis Lipsett of Snellville; a son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Cathy Lipsett of Marietta; a grandson, Peter and Ann Bailey Lipsett of Arlington, Va.; a granddaughter, Mary Catherine and Andrew Long of Charlotte, N.C. and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, at A.S. Turner & Sons. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at A.S. Turner & Sons.
