Catherine Meyer

Catherine had an incredible memory and loved nothing better than reminiscing about the past. She could recall her childhood in vivid detail, even going back to when she was two years old. She could also remember details of her children and grandchildren's lives that they had forgotten. She grew up in the same house her father had grown up in in Davenport, Iowa. She married her high school sweetheart, Bruce Meyer. They moved from San Diego to Atlanta to Greenville SC to Saint Louis. They raised four children who produced 7 grandchildren-all boys. She was busy with her children and volunteering with various hospitals, schools and churches. After Bruce's death in 1980, she moved to Decatur, GA to be near her daughter's family. She lived a long and satisfying life. She is survived by daughters Anne Earle of Decatur, GA, and Sarah Noel of Evergreen CO, sons James Meyer of Edmunds, WA and son Daniel Meyer of Ballwin, MO, and grandsons Jay, John, Parker, Wyatt, Andy, Daniel and Barratt.
