Charles Henry Grizzle

After 91 years, Charles Henry Grizzle, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on June 10, 2016.

He was preceded in death by Sarah Elizabeth Hall Grizzle, his wife of 67 years, his parents and eight siblings.

He is survived by his children, Carol Elizabeth Grizzle and Thomas Charles Grizzle (Donna) and three grandchildren, Ian Alexander Trimble, Lindsey Calder Trimble and Lily Jordan Grizzle.

A decorated World War II veteran, he had a great love of his country and life. Returning to Georgia after the war, he was employed by Westinghouse until retiring.

A wonderful friend, neighbor, church member, a true Southern gentleman. His generous spirit and infectious smile always lending a helping hand..a longtime member of the Circle S Hunt Club and an avid fisherman.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home.
