Charles James Scott, Jr

Charles James Scott Jr. 81 of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday December 15. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Charles J. Scott Sr. and Grace Ann Meeks. Charles retired from Northfolk Southern Railroad after 35 years as a superintendent.  He is survived by his wife Carolyn, daughter Stacy Scott Hudgins of Orange Park, FL, grandson Griffin Scott Hudgins of Jacksonville, FL and granddaughter Caroline Blythe Hudgins of Tallahassee, FL.  A memorial service will be at Valley Brook Baptist Church on Saturday December 18 at 2:00 with Rev. Mike Roper officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the church.
