Cynthia Kay Kerley

October 19, 1954 — June 7, 2021

Cynthia Kay Kerley, age 66, of Decatur, Georgia passed away with grace and dignity on June 7, 2021.

Kay lived life fully. She worked at DeKalb Medical Center, as one of Georgia’s first Radiologist Technicians, sold real estate in Atlanta, and operated a retail store in Hilton Head Island. Most recently, she found passion caring for the elderly. She was an active member of the Oak Grove community and made a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Kay was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and marmee. She is survived by her daughter Tiffany (Jason) Lanford of Boulder, CO; son Chad (Karen) Dillard of Decatur, GA; six beloved grandchildren, Tyler and Colby Lanford, Phoebe, Nash, Etta Jane and Aiken Dillard; brother Larry (Steve) Goddard of Lilburn, Georgia; and niece Tia (Eric) Norwood of Lawrenceville, GA.

A viewing and funeral service for friends and family will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in the Great Hall. The viewing will be held from 9:30 – 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service officiated by Dr. Joseph McBrayer at 11:30 AM.

Kay was a warrior in life and exemplified courage and grace to the very end. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
