Dan Johnson

Mr. Daniel (Dan) M. Johnson 76, of Adel, Georgia passed away Monday March 17, 2014 at Emory University Hospital following a sudden illness. He was born June 5, 1937 in Quitman, Georgia to the late David Twiggs Clyatt Johnson and Allie Belle Mullinax Johnson. Mr. Johnson worked many years at Del-Cook Lumber as a mechanic. He also spent much of his time in his hay fields. He was preceded in death by his brother William (Billy) Johnson, his daughter Anita Johnson, his son, Joe Furman, a grandson Bubby Wilmoth, and a great-granddaughter Peyton Lowe. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of forty-six years Clara A. Johnson. His sister Charlotte Folsom of Adel, a brother Larry Johnson of Hudson, Florida; three sons Marty Johnson (Jackie), Frank Johnson (Merci), Jimmy and Debbie Furman all of Florida. Five daughters Jolene and John Wilmoth, Debra and Brian Wilmoth, Victoria and Bing Bartlett, Barbie and Brad Bartlett, Cheryle and Larry Stone all of Florida. Twenty-one grandchildren Nathan Johnson, Johnathan Lowe, Teddy Eby, Michael Edy, Josef (Bucky) and Jessica Furman, Joanna and Steve Hall, Mari and JB Barnes, Shara Wilmoth, Chama and Chad Cronin, John Wilmoth Jr., Lavender Bartlett, Tiffanie and D. Mooring, Sebrina Raper, Tammy Furman, James Furman, Emilyrose Furman, Jimmy Joe Stone, Della Stone, Larry Stone Jr., Danielle Harden, Lacie Stone, Jennifer Sweat and Twenty-one great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm March 29, 2014 at Westside Baptist Church at 1001 West 4th Street Adel, for family and friends. Dan was greatly loved and will be missed by all. A. S.
