Dan Michael Macrenaris

Berkeley Lake lost one of its favorite son's this week. Dan Macrenaris passed into eternity Monday afternoon. Dan and wife, Gail, lived in Berkeley Lake for over 25 years. Dan was an Army vet and had a side business named "Handy Dan". He had a way of making things work, whether it was electricity or making water run when it should and making it stop when it shouldn't. He was the BL Chapel sexton for years, making it better each time. He was interested and always listening, he cared about people. He loved his family and loved Berkeley Lake. We have set up a memorial for Dan at the Chapel, next to the main gate. If anyone wants to leave a card or memory, it is a good place to remember him. Thanks to Dan's friend, Britt Collins, adding to the posting and setting up the memorial. The Chapel flag was lowered to half-staff in Dan's memory. Dan's good friend and neighbor, Bob Herb summed it up best, "There are givers and takers, Dan was a giver". Good Bye " Danny Mac", you will be missed. In our thoughts and prayers.
