Daniel Edward Garrett

Daniel Edward Garrett passed away at the age of 78 on Sunday October 24, 2021. He was born on January 3, 1943 in Augusta, Ga. He graduated from the Richmond Academy in 1961 and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1966. He was the student trainer for the football team with Vince Dooley. He was also the trainer for the minor league baseball team the Birmingham A's in Alabama in 1967. Then he worked for John Hancock Insurance, The Boys & Girls Club of America, Chick-fil-A as a manager, and from 1991 – 2006 the Atlanta Braves/ Stadium Operations Manager. He retired from the Atlanta Braves in 2006.
He is preceded in death by his parents Horace W. Garrett & Nell Elizabeth Tankersley Garrett, his sister Nancy E. Phillips and brother Thomas L. Garrett. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Patricia A. Greene Garrett and their three children Lisa A. Garrett, Allison E. Parrish (Todd), and Michael D. Garrett (Mhae); His grandchildren and great-grandchildren (Lisa's) Shavon N. McMurray and her daughter Ananda Rose, Renee C. McMurray & Ashley D. McMurray; (Allison's) Casey L. Parrish (Gianni) and their daughter Rowan Elaine, Taylor L. Parrish, and Jordan L. Parrish; His two sisters Janice E. Waldman (David) and Jayne Black as well as several nieces and nephews. He will always be loved and missed by all the lives he touched.
