David Randy Ward, Sr.

David Randy Ward, Sr., 54, of Atlanta, passed away on September 4, 2017 at Atlanta Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. Born October 14, 1962, in Atlanta, Ga, he was the son of the late Carl Ray Ward and Carolyn Ewing Ward. David enjoyed singing, watching the Falcons, cooking out making the best burgers in town, telling family and friends stories about his crazy and funny younger days and he loved to dance.

He is survived by his second wife, Darlene Ward; brother, Artie Ward and his wife, Donna Ward; his two sons, David Ward, Jr. and Timothy Ward; daughter, Kelly Ward; daughter-in-law, Nicole Werk; step-children, Stacy, Brittany, Jeffery and Ronald Roden; grandchildren, Evan, Angel, Matthew, Chrissy, Alexis; and fourteen step grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his beautiful wife and mother of his three children, Cathy Ward, Rea Florence (Cathy's sister); brother, James (Carrot Top) Ward; and grandmother, Willie Mae Euwing who loved her Long John Silver's.

I am blessed to be named after my dad. He was a strong man with a great heart, one who would not take any crap from anyone but once you knew him you could not help but to love him. He loved making people laugh. He always would tell me stories on how he went trucking across country with his dad when he was younger and saw so many places. I know now Heaven is the most beautiful place my dad has ever seen. I don't know if he can hear me when I tell him I love him and miss him but if you can dad just know I love you and you will always be in my heart. Thank you for everything!! Say hello to our mom and everyone else in our family. We all love you and will see you again one day my wonderful handsome dad. Love David Jr.

Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday September 19th at 10:45 am at Lakeside memorial Gardens at Palmetto, GA.
