Dennis Edward Matejka

Dennis Matejka was born 7/27/53 in Decatur Ga. and grew up in Avondale Estates. He graduated in 1971 from Avondale High School and then went to Dekalb Tech for HVAC  training.
Dennis moved to Kingston Springs TN in early 1980's where he was self employed   and owner of a Lawn Care business  and had many satisfied and devoted customers. His neighbors thought the world of him. Dennis was diagnosed with ALS in Nov 2014 and he and his dog Leroy  came back to live with family in GA in Dec 2015, once his disease had progressed . He passed away on May 12, 2016.
He is survived by sisters, Janice and Jon White of Snellville Ga. and Nancy and Alan Shaw of Lawrenceville Ga. He is also survived by his brother,  David Matejka of Goodlettsville  TN. He was preceded in death by parents Edward and Marguerite Matejka.
A graveside service will be held on  Sunday 5/15/16 at 2:00 pm at Melwood Cemetery 5170 Ê Ponce De Leon Ave Stone Mountain Ga
