Diana M. Paxton, age 88 of Decatur, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 23, 2010. She was born in New York City, New York to Gerasimos and Paraskevoula Montesantos. She lived in the New York/New Jersey area most of her life where she was a homemaker. She moved to Decatur, Georgia 13 years ago with her late husband, Nick, to whom she was married for 64 years. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Mercedes Paxton of Grayson, GA and Demosthenes and Betsy Paxton of Baldwin, MD; grandchildren, Carrie, Michael, and Nicole Paxton and her fiancé Stanislao Sullo; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010, at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation at 1:00 pm with Father George Alexson officiating. Interment will be in Floral Mills Memory Garden in lieu of flowers, scholarship donations in memory of Diana may be made to the "AHEPA M.L. Ch.1 Educational Fund” at 7971 Magnolia Square, Sandy Springs, GA 30350-4025. A prayer service will be held Wednesday, May 26, at 7:00 pm and visitation from 5 to 7 pm at A.S. Turner & Sons.
