Donald L. Newman

Mr. Donald L. Newman, 78, of Decatur died Monday, November 22, 2010. He was a University of Georgia graduate and served with the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jean Newman; sons, Jim Newman and Tom Newman; daughter, Cindy Newman; grandchildren, Christina, Lindsey, Olivia, Alex, Ryan, Tommy and Jason; and great grandchildren, Angelina, Jasmine and Ava. Funeral services will be held at North Decatur United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 24th, Rev. Lee Fullerton officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at the New Hope United Methodist Church cemetery in Between, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Decatur United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
