Doris P. Ambrose

Doris Ponder Ambrose of Decatur, GA passed away at the age of 100 on April 13, 2017. She was born in Atlanta on April 4, 1917 to Spears T. Ponder and Clyde Baxter Ponder. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, S. Thomas Ponder; sisters, Evelyn Richardson and Elizabeth Ashcraft; and nephew, J. B. Richardson. She is survived by her sister, Virginia Patterson; nieces, Cheryl Patterson Golden (John), Kay Ashcraft Ball (Larry) and Laura Roan Brown; nephews, Fred Ashcraft, Michael Ashcraft and Tom Roan.
A private memorial service will be held on Friday, April 21st at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
