Dorothy Miles Franklin

Mrs. Dorothy Miles Franklin of Atlanta, GA died Saturday, February 9, 2008. She was with Southern Bell Telephone Company (now A.T. & T) for 28 years. Mrs. Franklin was a member of Briarcliff Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Basil V. Franklin; daughters, Sandra Gail Franklin-Steele of Demorest, GA, Dianne Bland of Duluth; son, Basil V. "Butch" Franklin, Jr. of Toccoa; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at The Pavilion at Kingsbridge, 3055 Briarcliff Rd., Atlanta, GA 30329 with Rev. Bill Biggers and Rev. Glen Waldrop officiating. Interment will be at Marietta City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions to Briarcliff Baptist Church, 3039 Briarcliff Rd., N.E., Atlanta, GA 30329. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
