Dwane Lamar Rhoden

Mr. Dwane L. Rhoden, 76, born in Rome, resided in Decatur, retired Research Microbiologist after 36 years of service from The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) passed away July 1, 2014. After graduating high school, Mr. Rhoden joined the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. Afterwards, he received his BS degree from Georgia State University and his MS degree from The University of Minnesota. Dwane is survived by his beloved wife Ann of 53 years; daughter, Laurie Walton and her husband Joseph; Grandsons - Ryan and Zachary Walton. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 7th at 2pm with visitation 1 hour prior in the Chapel at A.S. Turner and Sons in Decatur Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker.
