Mrs. Earline (Jarrett) Bearden, age 63 passed away peacefully in the presence of her family in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday, July 9, 2010.  A proud native and lifelong resident of Atlanta, Mrs. Bearden attended Grady High School, graduated from Hapeville High School, and continued her education at West Georgia College before taking on a career as a flight attendant for Southern Airlines.  She later dedicated her life as a stay-at-home mom and wife; a volunteer in her cherished community and a substitute teacher in Dekalb County Schools for more than two decades.  It was for her love of people and compassion for others that Mrs. Bearden knew no strangers and was

a friend to many.  She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jesse R. Bearden of
Atlanta; her mother, Lennie M. Jarrett of Atlanta and her brother Billy E. Jarrett of Atlanta
.  She is survived by her beloved son, Justin Bearden and daughter-in-law Marie of Decatur; devoted sister, Carol Sue (Jarrett) Almond and brother-in-law Jimmy of Stone Mountain; Aunt Lalette Fogg of Comer and her loving aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.  A celebration of Mrs. Bearden's life will be held at 4 pm Wednesday, July 14 at A.S. Turner & Sons, Decatur with Rev. Mary Lou Gilbert officiating.   The family will welcome friends one hour prior.  Memorials may be made in her name to the charity of one's choice. A. S.
