Edward "Ed" R. Golden, age 76, of Atlanta, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 12, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Laura Gauthier Golden. Other survivors include his daughter Susan Golden James and her husband Brian James, and their three children Tyler, Mallory, and Meredith James, as well as his sister Carolyn Golden Tumlin and her husband Willard Tumlin. Edward was predeceased by his parents, Ernest W. Golden and Velma T. Golden, as well as his brother Aubrey Golden. Edward was born June 4, 1936, in Moultrie, Georgia. He graduated from Moultrie High School in 1954. He completed his B. S. degree in Industrial Management at Georgia Tech in 1959 and Emory School of Law in 1967. He worked for several years at SunTrust Bank, after which he went into private practice as an attorney in Decatur, Georgia for 40 years. Edward was a member of Wieuca Road Baptist Church in Atlanta since 1972, where he taught Sunday School classes for college students and fourth graders for many years. Visitation will be at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, 2773 North Decatur Rd., Decatur, Friday, September 14, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Wieuca Road Baptist Church, 3626 Peachtree Rd., N.E., Atlanta, GA on Saturday, September 15, at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. Mark Wilbanks and Rev. Bill Givens officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2700 Deans Bridge Rd, Augusta, GA on Saturday, September 15, at 5:00 p.m.with Rev. Jeff Flowers officiating. A. S.
