Elinor Mae Guinn

July 26, 1935 — November 2, 2010

Mrs. Elinor Mae Emery Guinn, age 75, of Decatur died Tuesday, November 2, 2010. She graduated from Duke University School of Nursing and worked for Grady Memorial Hospital for 24 years, retiring in 1995. Mrs. Guinn was a very active member of Glen Haven Baptist Church in McDonough, GA and loved to travel the southeast attending grandchildren's sporting events. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Jarvis and Betty Guinn of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Wayne and Mimi Quinn of Decatur, Craig and Vickie Guinn of Walhalla, SC, and Tim and Eunice Guinn of Covington; brother, Donald Koch Emery of Gainesville, FL; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, November 6th, in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Voice of The Martyrs, P. O. Box 443, Bartlesville, OK 74005-0443. The family would like to express their appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to Longleaf Hospice for their love, delicate care and warm support during this trying and most difficult time. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
