Elizabeth Eleanor Smith

Elizabeth Pritchett Smith, a native of Atlanta, having grown up in Inman Park went to be with her Lord on August 7, 2013 at the age of 92. She graduated from Girls High School and Draughan Business College. She was employed at Davison's Department Store and later worked for the McCann Erickson Advertising Agency as accounting supervisor. She and her husband, Bob, were happily married for 71 years. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church and the Maco Sunday School Class. Upon failing health, she and her husband moved their membership to Northside Park Baptist Church where their daughter and son-in-law attended. She was past president of the North Side Women's Club and the Fifth District President of the Georgia Beta Club. She is survived her husband, Robert L. Bob Smith; son and daughter-in-law Robert E. and Rebecca Smith of Leesburg, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law Patricia (Pat) and John K. York Jr. of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Carole York Davis and her husband R. Dan Davis of Douglasville; Bryan Lee Smith of Beloit, Wisconsin; and Robert M. Smith of Marquette, Nebraska, sister-in-law Kathleen S. Burch of Ellijay; and cousin Sherry Day of Rapid City Michigan; and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday August 9th at 1:00 PM at Northside Park Baptist Church with Dr. Vincent B. Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Northside Park Baptist Church, P.O. Box 19917 Atlanta, GA 30325. The family will receive friends tonight from 4:00-6:00 PM at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
