Elizabeth (Betty) McClure Pattillo was born in Shaw, Mississippi April 4, 1928 and grew up in Greenwood, MS with a lively extended family that honed her wonderful sense of humor. While attending Blue Mountain College, Betty was an engaged member of the illustrious Euzelian Society. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Drama along with many friendships that have lasted a lifetime. Betty married H. G. "Pat" Pattillo in 1950. They celebrated 61 years of marriage last October. She nurtured and guided four children with love and an endless supply of patience. She was a quiet guiding force for many. Betty treasured her friends in Decatur Presbyterian Church, Book Club and her exercise group of which she was an active participant at age 84.
