Elizabeth Montene Pilgrim

July 5, 1927 — December 31, 2014

Elizabeth Montene Hay Pilgrim, 87 of Americus, formerly of Scottdale, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014. A homemaker most of her life, she was a member of Valley Brook Baptist Church in Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband; Robert Pilgrim, brother; Jesse L. Hay, and sister; Annie Irene Peppers. Survivors include, daughter; Denise Burch of Panama City, FL, brother; James L. Hay of Lawrenceville, sister in law; Toni Elrod of Decatur, brother in law; Clifford Pilgrim of Monticello, 3 grandchildren; April B. Duke of Americus, and Robert Hudgins and Davina Burch, both of Panama City, FL, and a number of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Southland Academy Madeline Wildes Fund, P. O. Box 1127, Americus, GA 31709. A graveside service will be held, Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, with Rev. Larry Elrod officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
