Elizabeth Ragsdale Cole

COLE, Elizabeth Ragsdale, age 85, of Atlanta, passed away Wednesday, July 6,2005 after an extended illness. Visitation with the family will be held Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home in Decatur. Graveside services will be conducted by Rev. Bill Carr on Monday July 11, 2005 at Crest Lawn Memorial Park on Marietta Blvd. at 10 a.m. A memorial service is scheduled for Elizabeth Ragsdale Cole and Marie Ragsdale, wife of Jerry Ragsdale, who passed away on July 11, 2004, on Monday, July 11, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Shallowford Presbyterian Church, 2375 Shallowford Rd., NE, Atlanta, GA. Pastors Bill Carr and Robby Carroll will conduct the memorial service for Elizabeth and Marie, with a reception following the service at the Church, sponsored by the Alzheimer's Support Group at Shallowford Presbyterian. Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by husband, Woodrow W. Ragsdale and husband, Clifford C. Cole; her mother, Jenny Lou Adams; two brothers, William and Frank Adams; and daughter-in-law, Marie Ragsdale. She is survived by her children, daughter and husband, Sandra and Edwin Hooper of Wichita, KS; sons, Jerry Wayne Ragsdale of Atlanta and Michael Edward Ragsdale of Buford, GA; granddaughter and husband, Jane Elizabeth [Beth] and Daniel Payne of Topeka, KS; grandson, Edwin Harold Hooper, Jr.[Hal] of Wichita, KS; and granddaughter, Aimee Elizabeth Ragsdale of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Jo Bowker of San Diego, CA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with the Alzheimer's Day Care at Wesley Haven, Briarcliff United Methodist Church, 4105 Briarcliff Road NE, Atlanta, Ga. 30345 and Plymouth Harbor, Central Congregational United Church of Christ, 2676 Clairmont Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30329.
