Ellen Elton Raines

Ellen Elton Raines, 95, passed away Wednesday May 6, 2015. She was born March 18, 1920 in Wrightsville, Georgia to the late Thomas Franklin Elton and Ruby Williams Elton. She was a homemaker and the loving wife to the late George Phoelix Raines, who was president at Atlantic Sheet Metal and a member of the Yaarab Shrine Temple before passing away May 5, 2005. She was a long term member of Clairmont Hills Baptist Church and the Briarcliff Woods Garden Club. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Thomas E. Raines and Cynthia G. Raines of Duluth, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, George Michael Raines and Kappy Bowers Raines, of Lithonia, Georgia; four grandchildren, Bryan Raines, Brittany Marler, Che Bowers and Lynn Bowers and 7 great-grandchildren, Fletcher Raines, Mckenzie Raines, Landon Marler, Amelia Marler, Sara Grace Marler, Ethan Bowers and Hannah Bowers. Visitation will be held at Clairmont Hills Baptist starting at 10:30, the Funeral Service will follow beginning at 11:30 with Rev. Fred O. Pitts officiating. Interment at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
