Ellen G. Ross

Ellen G. Ross, 85, of Decatur died Wednesday, November 23, 2005 of a sudden illness.. A lifetime Georgia resident, she was born December 21, 1919. She retired from Abrams Industries and faithfully attended Rehoboth Baptist Church. Miss Ross is preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Odessa Wilkins Dyson and Jack Dyson; sister, Laura Ross Manley; and brothers, John Ross and Thomas Ross. She is survived by two nephews, David Manley of Decatur, Larry T. Ross and wife Jeannie of Stone Mountain; six nieces, Margaret Manley Harp and husband Raymond of  Morrow,  Jane Ross Lee and husband David of Snellville, Sandra Ross Garner and husband James L. of Hoschton, Janet Ross Roe and husband Ronald of Decatur, Connie Manley Hassler and husband Don of Smyrna, Elaine Manley Smitherman and husband Jimmy of  Smyrna; sister-in-law, Jeanette Chewning Ross of Stone Mountain; a host of great nieces and nephews; and one great great niece.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 24th, Rev, Jack Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery. A. S. Turner & Sons.
