Esther Robinson, 92, died peacefully at home on August 24, 2009. She enjoyed a life-long career as a real estate broker and was the first woman president of the DeKalb Board of Realtors in 1970. In 1980, she was the recipient of the Georgia Association of Realtors “President’s Special Merit Award” for outstanding service to the real estate profession and the association. She was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She is survived by her daughter, Lea Robinson; granddaughter, Monica Thomas; grandson, Kirk Thomas, as well as many other loving family members and friends. The funeral service will be in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 27. Interment Westview Cemetery. Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 26 at A. S. Turner & Sons.
