Ethna Patterson Smith

Ethna Patterson Smith of Decatur, age 98, died Sunday, August 26, 2007. She had lived in Denver, Colorado for several years prior to her death. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Thomas G. (Judy Carlsen) Smith, Jr.; grandchildren Martin Fee, Michael Fee, Sharon (Fee) Decew, Mathews Smith, Richard Smith, Patrick Smith, and Susan (Smith) Lopez; brother Jack Patterson; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas G. Smith; son and daughter-in-law William and Lynda Fee; brother William DeFoor Patterson; sister Mary Sams; and granddaughter Belinda Fee. She was a long time and active member of Emory Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Decatur. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Decatur at 11:00 am Saturday, September 8, Dr. Peter Rhea Jones officiating, with a visitation period prior to the service from 9:30 -11:00 am. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park. A. S. Turner & Sons is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make donations to Georgia Baptist Children's Homes, P.O.
