Eugenia Evans Treadway

Eugenia Evans Treadway, born February 16, 1915 in Cordele, GA passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, T. Foley Treadway, Jr., and daughter, Linda Treadway Scarbrough. She is survived by daughter, Anne Treadway Goldstein and son-in-law, Mel A. Goldstein (Charleston, SC); grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne Hanie (Charlotte, NC), Patricia Claire Hanie (Duluth, GA), Katherine Scarbrough Huge (Cumming, GA), Michael Eugene Scarbrough (Loganville, GA), and Edward Foley 'Ted' Scarbrough (Cumming, GA); son-in-law, Thomas 'Tom' Scarbrough (Cumming, GA); great grandchildren, Lindsay Knox Leonard, Jarrett Huge, and Hollis Huge; and great great grandchildren, Jack, Oliver, and Charlotte Leonard. She was a long time resident of Decatur, GA and active member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. She was a member and past-president of the Decatur Book Lovers' Club, and also belonged to several bridge clubs and other Decatur social clubs. Genie loved gardening, painting, music, and her family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 515 East Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, Georgia, 30030.
