Eugenia Lawton Pate

Eugenia L. Pate, 95, a longtime resident of Decatur died on Friday, May 23, 2008. Ms. Pate was a devout catholic and a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, where she served as a Lector and a Eucharist Minister. Surviving are her daughters, Patricia Pate-Lee of Decatur, Penny B. Pate of Alexandria, VA; son, Edward H. Pate, III of Chicago, IL; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one niece; and two cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 29th at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Monsignor Paul Fogarty as celebrant. Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Thomas More Catholic Church. A. S. Turner & Sons.
