Flournoy Jennings

Flournoy P. (F.L.) Jennings, age 91, died peacefully January 29, 2005. She was born April 9, 1915 to Flournoy Phillips and Bell Gillis Phillips of Treutlen County and Vidalia, GA. She is survived by daughters, Henrietta Jennings Brown of Rockville, MD, Patricia Jennings Hold of Raleigh, NC, Suzanne Jennings of St. Simons Island, GA and Marjorie Jennings of Macon, GA; nephews, Dr. Roger R. Rowell of Atlanta, Slade Johnson of Talbotton, GA, Bill Johnson of Talbotton, GA, Mike Phillips of Eulonia, GA; and numerous great nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends. A Christian memorial service of thanksgiving for her life will be held Saturday, February 4th at 11 a.m. at Briarlake Baptist Church where Flournoy was an active member of the New Horizon Sunday School Class. Services will be conducted by the Rev. J. Hoffman Harris. Her remains will be cremated and a family interment will be held at the Pinecrest Cemetery in Vidalia, GA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to her church, Briarlake Baptist Church, 3715 LaVista Rd, Decatur, GA 30033 or a charity of choosing. Arrangements will be handled by A. S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, GA.
