Frances was born in Charlotte, NC, the daughter of Wallace Tyler and Fannie Gray Tyler. She grew up in Atlanta and graduated from Girls High. She also attended Agnes Scott College where she majored in music. She became engaged to Tom Bradley, and they were married upon his return from active duty in WWII.
Frances and Tom began their life in Atlanta and began their family with the birth of their first child Patt. During the Korean War, Tom was recalled to active duty in the Navy and Frances and Patt followed Tom to his duty station of Nice, France. Frances and Patt enjoyed the French Riviera while Tom performed his Navy duties.
At the end of the war, they returned to Atlanta and had a second daughter, Carole. Tom's career with Atlanta Gas Light Co led them to Rome, Ga and eventually back to Atlanta where they raised their two daughters.
After the girls left home, Frances spent many years with Tom in Cloudland, GA building their mountain vacation house, where they spent many hours with family. She especially had fun enjoying the time with her four grandchildren.
