Frank Filmore Thach

January 7, 1925 — February 18, 2009

Mr. Frank Filmore “Fil” Thach, 84, of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2009. He was a World War II veteran, a member of East Lake Country Club, Glen Haven and Clairmont Presbyterian Churches, and was retired from Davidson Mineral/Hanson. He is survived by his wife, Jo Anne Wright Thach; sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Mary Lynn and grandson Tripp; Cary and Linda and grandchildren Derek and Julie; Tom and Sue and grandchildren, Robert and Katie; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Ray Brooks; sisters, Dolly Hooper and Mary Leslie Thach; sister-in-law, Molly Jean Blackmon, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kathryn and Roger Wallace; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21st at 11 a.m. at Clairmont Presbyterian Church, Decatur. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Philadelphia Baptist Cemetery Trust, 6897 S. Goddard Rd., Lithonia, GA 30038. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 20th at A. S. Turner & Sons.
