Frank Harris Jones

Mr. Frank Harris Jones, 89, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Frank was born in Macon, to Joseph John and Lillie Odessa Parker Jones and was an Army veteran of WWII from November 1942 until January 1946. He served in the Pacific Theatre with the 594th Engineer Boat and Shore HQ Boat Battalion and was stationed in Indonesia, Philippines and Japan. Frank had many accomplishments and was proud to be a 32 degree Mason. Frank is preceded in death by his wife, Christine Thomas Jones; brother, Johnny Jones and sister Josephine Taylor. Memorial contributions may be sent to Mabel White Baptist Church, 1415 Bass Road, Macon, GA 31210. He is survived by many loving family members and friends. A visitation will be held at 2:00 pm followed with funeral services at 3:00 PM on Saturday March 23rd in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park with his longtime Pastor, Rev. Larry T. Burgess officiating. The family will also receive friends tonight from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
