Garnett Louis Rabeneck

Garnett "Ray" Louis Rabeneck, age 92, died peacefully on July 2, 2014 at his home in Decatur, Georgia surrounded by family and loved ones. Ray, was a graduate of the University of Arkansas, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He retired in 1988 from Lockheed Martin after 34 years. He was an active member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Faith Sunday School Class and his neighborhood community. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nelda "Nell" (Cheek) Rabeneck; daughter and son-in-law Judy (Rabeneck) and Joe Ferrand; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Louis and Aimee Rabeneck; grandchildren, William, Stephen, Andrew, Katherine(Kate), Evan and Lia. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Randy Rabeneck. Memorial Services will be held at Oak Grove United Methodist Church on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 2:30 pm. Officiating are Dr. Glenn Ethridge and Dr. Amy Morgan. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Oak Grove United Methodist Church Building Fund. A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
