Geneva Allene Odom

Geneva Allene Odom, age 98, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2017. In addition to her parents and brother, she was predeceased by her husband Lester Odom, son Johnnie Odom, daughter-in-law Beth Odom and son-in-law Donald Teal. She is survived by daughter Patricia Teal, grandchildren Clifton Odom, Kandee Godfrey and John McKinney Gennie worked National Enterprises, volunteered for over 25 years at DeKalb Medical, and was a longtime resident at Clairmont Oaks. She was a member at Calvary Baptist Church in Atlanta. She will always be remembered as a devout Christian and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt and sister-in-law. She touched so many people with her kind, sweet and encouraging words.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel at A.S. Turner & Sons. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Arthritis Foundation, arthritis.org/donate.
