Guss Tolleson

January 21, 1924 — January 5, 2005

Guss Tolleson, Jr., 80, of Lilburn, died January 5, 2005. Mr. Tolleson served with the XX Corps Special Services in Europe during World War II. He graduated from the University of Alabama where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He is a former member of the Rotary Club. Mr. Tolleson is survived by his wife of 57 years, Claire Jo; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anne and Frank Couch of Lawrenceville and Cindy and Dave Jollay of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Mayer Jollay Buisson and husband Beau, Matt Jollay and Jesse Couch; and one brother and sister-in-law, John and Rose Tolleson, of Birmingham, Alabama. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 9, 2005 at 2:30 pm in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home in Decatur with Reverend Dr. Gary L. Whetstone officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at A.S. Turner & Sons on Sunday, January 9 from 1:00 until 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers in memory of Mr. Tolleson contributions may be made to Mountain Park United Methodist Church for Conference Payment, 1405 Rockbridge Road, Stone Mountain, Georgia 30087 or to the charity of your choice.
