Harold Eldred Tumlin

Mr. Harold "Ted" E. Tumlin, 85, of Locust Grove died Saturday, October 11, 2014. He was born in Dekalb County to the late John T. Tumlin Sr. and Clera Mae Scott. Siblings included the late John Tumlin Jr., the late Effie Lee, and the late Tommie Wynell. Ted remained around the Atlanta area and worked for 35 years at Atlantic Sheet Metal. His loving bride for over 50 years and mother of three sons is the late Maudie M. Tumlin. He is survived by his sons & daughter-in-laws, Anthony & Jan Tumlin, Sr. of Locust Grove, GA, Thomas J. Tumlin of Carrollton, GA, Robert & Susanne Tumlin of Fayetteville, GA; four grandchildren, Anthony Tumlin Jr., Joseph Tumlin, Andrew Tumlin, and Ashley Tumlin; and three great grandchildren, Madison Tumlin, Mason Tumlin, and Savannah Tumlin. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at 1:30 PM in the chapel at A.S. Turner and Sons in Decatur, GA, with Dr. James B. Waddle officiating. Interment will be in Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the start of the service.
