Harold Eugene Ewing

Harold Ewing, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and cherished member of the community, passed away on July 23, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born on May 2, 1944, in Avondale, GA.

Throughout his life, Harold touched the hearts of many with his kind and caring nature. He was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Martha Ewing, with whom he shared a lifetime of beautiful memories.

Harold took great pride in being a father to his two daughters, Melanie Knight and Michelle Merritt. He cherished their happiness and supported them wholeheartedly in every endeavor they pursued. Ashley Knight and Eric Merritt, his loving sons-in-law, were an integral part of his extended family, and he considered them as his own sons.

Being a grandfather brought immense joy to Harold's life. He was blessed with the presence of Nicole, Kagen, Megan, Erica, and Amber, his beloved grandchildren, whose laughter filled his heart with happiness. Watching them grow and thrive was a source of pride and delight for him.

Additionally, Harold's life was further enriched by the presence of nine great-grandchildren, each bringing their own special light into his world.

Family was of the utmost importance to Harold, and he shared strong bonds with his five brothers, one sister, and numerous nieces and nephews. He valued their companionship and support throughout the years.

Harold was preceded in death by his loving parents, Jessie and Ruth Ewing, who instilled in him the values of compassion, integrity, and resilience that shaped the man he became.

As we say our farewells to Harold, we celebrate a life well-lived and remember the love and joy he brought into the lives of all who knew him. His warm smile, kind heart, and enduring spirit will forever be cherished and missed by those whose lives he touched.
