Harrison Evans Williams, Jr. D.M.D.

December 7, 1937 — August 31, 2021

Dr. Harrison E. Williams, Jr. was born on December 7, 1937 in Darlington, South Carolina to the late Harrison Williams, Sr. & Bannie Capers. On August 31, 2021, in Atlanta, Georgia the Lord accepted Harrison into His heavenly kingdom. His belated son Harrison III passed on November 6, 1995 in California.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife, great granddaughter & son, grandchildren, son in law, daughter, God son & the Reid family, brother and sister in laws, grandmother Shirley, grandfather Lawrence, special family members all over the universe and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Dr. Williams grew up in South Carolina with his belated brother Gerald and God-fearing grandparents and other relatives. He attended Booker T. Washington High School, Class of 1956. He played the saxophone in a band. He also served active military duty for 2 years then transferred to the United States Air Force with an Honorable Discharge from the Airforce Reserve.
Harrison positively touched the lives of many students during his teaching tenure in the Department of Education. He received his Doctorate degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He treated the handicap in the Dental Department for several years. He was also the Director of the Dental Department at the Georgia Regional Hospital until he retired. Allen University presented an honorary diploma to Harrison E. Williams, Jr. for 50 years of stellar accomplishments, Class of 1960 on October 11, 2017.
We love you so much Dr. Williams. We will have another meeting on God’s Eternal Day. My husband was a strong man. A strong man has faith that he is strong enough for the journey…but a man of strength has faith that it is in the journey that he will become strong.
Dr. Williams had a cryptside service on Tuesday. September 28, 2021 at Georgia National Cemetery.
Memory
I’m following the path God laid for me, I found that place at the close of day. My life’s been full. I savored much. Lift up your hearts and share with me. God wanted me now.
